Perfect Game is host to some of the elite tournaments and showcases across the country. There is no greater showcase at the age of 13 then the #13UNational Showcase in West Palm Beach, Florida. The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches (Spring Training facility for the Washington Nationals and Houston Astros) was host to the three-day event.
This event welcomes 200+ players traveling from around the US and neighboring territories. These players are all reaching for that next step, the Perfect Game SelectFest.
The event started on Friday, July 23rd with testing in 60-yard dash, defensive work, batting practice and PG Tech Cage.
Both Ethan & Rhino (Ryan) showed very well, improving in some key areas and both making top marks in a few categories (Exit Velo, 1B Velo, OF Velo).
On Days 2 & 3, all 14 teams played a total of two games, giving an opportunity to showcase their in-game talents. Here are a couple of notes from PG Scouts.
Ryan Harwood (2026 1B, Chandler, AZ) Showed the ability to generate good leverage at contact with present bat speed through extension. Tripled loudly to the right field corner in game action. -@PGShowcases
Ethan Trahan (2026 LHP, Scottsdale, AZ) put a nice swing on the ball in his first at-bat, going down and getting a changeup with two strikes on him, showing a handle for the barrel with a line drive single into center field. He got to show off his hand quickness later in the game, spinning around a left-handed fastball on the inner half for a deep sac fly to right field. Trahan later jumped on the mound and sat in the upper-70s, showing an easy operation with plenty of strikes and a quality changeup at 71 mph. -@PGShowcases
Ryan Harwood (2026, Chandler, AZ) with balance and loft to his swing, sitting on a CB and lining a double into the left center field gap. On the mound, threw 2 scoreless innings, attacking hitters with a FB he ran up to 79mph. -@PGShowcases
The event concluded on Sunday, July 25th as all players and families head home eagerly awaiting an opportunity to represent their teams, clubs, family and more in the Perfect Game SelectFest, August 29th.
This year's Select Festival will be nationally televised on the CBS Network from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
